NedSpace Map
Nedspace is a coworking space based in downtown Portland, Oregon. It has established itself as a creative, business, networking, and community hub within the greater Portland area and holds activities and events throughout the year. The project was created to map out Nedspace for an event held by a tutoring company established within the community.
The Vision
Kate Barrett, owner of Diverse Development Learning Services, works with students with all kinds of unique learning needs and their families. She provides her clients with extra layers of support in tutoring, homeschool support, and advocacy. To welcome her students and families to Nedspace, Kate needed a stunning, simplistic map of the physical location for all to enjoy.
The Process
To design the map for both parents and students, we combined the utility of a simple map with the excitement of a children's map. Taking inspiration from zoo, aquarium, and park maps, the map engages all ages and leads the families to the important rooms within the building.
The Deliverables
Kate received a final PDF print file prepared for both personal and professional production. She was also instructed on the best printing materials and process to ensure a stress free process. Over 20 maps were printed and greatly enjoyed at the welcome event.
