Concert Poster
A custom concert poster designed to celebrate the 60th birthday of Dan McCully.
The Vision
Andrew came to me with a custom project in mind to celebrate his business partner’s 60th birthday. The poster was inspired by the many concerts and festivals Andrew and his partner have enjoyed over the past 5 years. He requested the poster to have elements of personal importance, rock bands, and maximalism.
The Process
After the performances, Andrew collects each concert and festival poster to not only record the experience but also appreciate the unique designs of each artist. At the beginning of the project we had the opportunity to view his collection and discuss specific details within the posters that inspired him. This helped immensely when beginning the process to ensure the art style and design would be to his liking. Andrew gave complete creative liberty when it came to the layout but requested a few references to the Sixties and Caribbean be included.
The Deliverables
File preparation, printer communication, printing inspection, and delivery of product were all provided in the final cost. Allowing Andrew to have a stress-free process and receiving five 12in x 18in gloss prints. At his request, each poster was hand signed - similar to the concert posters he collects.
